Description-
Moringa oil is obtained from Moringa oleifera tree belongs to Moringaceae family. It is also called as Ben oil due to high concentration of behenic acid in oil. Moringa tree well grows in poor soil as it is drought resistant. It is cultivated in India (native of Himalayan Foothills), Srilanka, Kenya, Malawi, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Africa. It is used for various cosmetic products, cooking purpose.

Extraction-
Moringa oil can be extracted by cold pressed or solvent extraction method. It is obtained by pressing seeds of oleifera tree and boiled it with water so moringa oil is comes out at the surface of water.

 Properties-
It is pale yellow in colour with a mild and pleasant or appealing taste. It is odorless and non drying nutty flavored oil. It is emollient in nature.

Composition-
Its constituents are Palmitic, stearic, Arachidic, Behenic, Oleic acid, Linoleic, Palmitoleic, Linolenic acid, Vitamin C and Vitamin A.

Safety and Precaution-

Avoid use during pregnancy or breast feeding as it can cause miscarriage and unsafe for infants.
Consumption in empty stomach, it act as laxative. Sometimes consumption of moringa can cause nausea, diarrhea and heart burn.
